Magnetite ore is a significant ore of iron, it is black or brownish-black with a metallic luster, has a Mohs hardness of 5–6 and a black streak. Magnetite ore beneficiation process is divided into crushing, grinding, classification, magnetic separation, dry tailings discharge, three phases.
MAGNETITE ORE CRUSHING & PROCESSING
1. Crushing and grinding process
Magnetite ore through the plate from the vibrating feeder into jaw crusher for crushing operations, and then transported by conveyor belt to the fine ore storage. Fine ore bin ore through the conveyor belt into the ball mill grinding to meet size requirements. Ore through vibrating sieve screening, divided into coarse powder size materials and fine size materials. Fine size materials are fed into the strong magnetic separator to remove a large number of gangue minerals, and the resulting magnetic concentrate is mixed with the sieve into the overflow-type ball mill. Overflow ball mill processed again through the slurry separator tailing, ore concentrates through the pump into the cyclone classification, such as overflow through a pipe into the magnetic separation stage and underflow returns ball mill for re-circulating.
2. Magnetic separation process
Magnetic separation is the key process of the entire magnetite beneficiation process, magnetic effect is a direct impact on the final concentrate grade. Magnetite beneficiation process uses three segments magnetic separation processes, magnetic separator beneficiation equipments are magnetic separation, plastic pump and ceramic filter. Cyclone overflow piped into the rougher magnetic separator, rougher scavenger tailings sent into the magnetic separator, scavenger tailings discharged to the tailings, concentrates and rougher concentrate is mixed into the selection of magnetic machine, and then import the rougher tailings selected separator, and the concentrate is the desired concentrate. Concentrate through the gum into the ceramic filter dewatering pump, get dry concentrate, and water through the gas-water separator return system.
3. Dry tailings discharge
Dry tailings discharge magnetite beneficiation process is an important part of the process, the main tailings dry exhaust equipments are efficient thickener, cyclone and efficient multi-frequency sieve dehydration.

Magnetite, owing to its magnetic properties, is widely used in compasses and other navigation devices. Magnetite also serves as an excellent abrasive which is a cleaner and has way lower toxicity than abrasives that have a silica base.
